Interview with Camilo Franco:
We are here at Beachouse, Ibiza with Camilo Franco, one of the two founders of BOHO experience. Can you tell us something about this concept? When did it start and what are your intentions with it?
We started about seven years ago, and since then, we’ve been bringing the Bohemian vibe to different parts of the world. What we do is consistently mix music, art, and fashion, aiming to share with people the essence of our own universe.”
It sounds wonderful. And in which cities we can attend this kind of experience?
Well, of course, in Ibiza, we’re here at Beachouse Ibiza every Thursday until mid-October. After that, we’ll be taking it on the road. We’ll be in Dubai once a month, then next month in Poland. We’re also doing Barcelona, Cape Town, Bali, and hopefully, Prague as well.”
So we would love to see you there.
Do you have any advice for young or aspiring music producers who are just starting out?
My advice would be to follow their heart and create music that truly reflects what they feel inside. It’s important to share their authentic self with the audience rather than trying to copy or follow trends. Trends exist, and some people create great things from them, but for an artist, the most important thing is to stay true to their own vision. Focus on being original, work hard, and stay consistent. That’s more or less the secret.
Amen to that! Could you maybe share some of your favorite plugins or which DAW you work with? Tell us a little bit about your ‘secret sauce‘
Well, I don’t do anything special. I think most artists do more or less the same. I used to start making music with Logic, but for the past year, I’ve been using Ableton Live because it’s very intuitive and amazing for handling all kinds of files. As for plugins, I believe they’re all great, and there’s no such thing as a ‘better or worse’ plugin. It all comes down to the artist’s creativity and how well you can use the tools you have. You can create amazing things if you know how to use them properly and do amazing things.
Could you share a greeting for our Loudlife fans, please?
I want to invite everyone to join us and experience BOHO, whether here or somewhere else, or maybe one day when we go to Prague. By the way, I need to share something very important: the Bohemian movement actually started in the Czech Republic. The original Bohemians come from there, so in a way, it’s the birthplace of everything—the Bohemian movement, the Bohemian vibes, and all that. We should definitely go back there and reconnect with those roots
We would love that. Actually, there was Camilo Franco here in Beach House, Ibiza for Loudlife. Thank you.
Thank you so much.
