The Do LaB continued its celebration of 20 years in the desert at Coachella on Friday, April 18 for Weekend Two, now fully settled into its new footprint at the center of the festival’s dance music ecosystem, welcoming a top tier slate of standout performers and surprise acts to set the tone for the weekend. Legendary house music producer Claude VonStroke made his anticipated return, playing the stage’s first surprise set of the weekend.
West African DJ and Afro-House sensation AMÉMÉ played a back to back DJ set with fashionable twin sister duo Coco & Breezy for the night’s headlining closing set.
The friendly toy monster crew of Yo Gabba Gabba made a surprise appearance at the Do LaB, filling the stage with their cast of performers during UK house phenom Riordan’s set.
Additional previously announced day one programming featured Hybrid Minds, Max Styler, nimino, Conducta, Villager, Carola, J.Phlip, and Patricio.
Do LaB’s Coachella stage is a preview for what’s to come with the brand’s flagship festival, Lightning in a Bottle, taking place Memorial Day Weekend on May 21-25 at Buena Vista Lake in Southern California. The five day Lightning in a Bottle experience will continue its tradition of boundary-pushing performances, immersive art, cause-driven non-music programming, and wellness experiences.
