Do Not Play With Fyre: Why Fyre Fest Was The Greatest Party That Never Happened

Did you hear about a FYRE festival? A Lot of us probably did, but if you didn ́t, well buckle up because you are in for a treat.

Fyre festival took place in 2017 in Caribbean Bahamas, founded by entrepreneur Billy McFarland and rapper Ja Rule. Prize of the tickets, might I add weren’t cheap, went from $1000- $12 000, $250 000 for VIP experience. People who purchased the tickets were promised everything you can ask for in a festival: the best artist, amazing food, incredible accommodation, big stage, celebrity appearances and so on.

Super models like Kendal Jenner, Bella Hadid or Emily Ratajkowski promoted festival on their social media so no wonder people believed in this unforgettable experience, and oh boy unforgettable it was. Artists like Blink-182, Migos, Lil Yachty, Mazor Lazer perform on the festival

Days before the festival a lot of these promised artists expressed their concerns about festival being not ready and a lot of them pulled out the last minute. Disaster happened when people started to arrive on the Island. The organization was horrible, the food was a disaster, people were given tents instead of promised overprized luxury accommodation. In other words the place looked like it was not ready at all. All of this led to cancelation of the festival with follow up arrest of founder for fraud.

If you want to see how it all went down, check out the Netflix series called Fyre: The Greatest Party That Never Happened.
