About GORDO
Diamante Blackmon has already helped to define a global musical movement. But now he’s doing it again: GORDO is the house music alias from the artist previously known as Carnage. His releases, including ‘Hombres y Mujeres’ with Feid, ‘El Mas Chingon’ with El Alfa, and fan-favorite ‘Parcera’ with Maluma, alongside numerous sold-out shows across Latin America, reflect GORDO’s return to his Hispanic roots. Beyond music, the Grammy-nominated Nicaraguan-American DJ/producer gives back by building schools in Nicaragua and Guatemala, where he was raised, with the latest opening in 2023.
After four years in the making, this past July, GORDO released DIAMANTE, an album that blends his Nicaraguan-American heritage with a diverse range of genres like Dance, Hip Hop, Pop, Reggaeton, and Jazz. Featuring jaw-dropping multi-genre collaborations, this album has made a significant impact on the music industry, including two tracks with his long-time friend Drake, as well as Maluma, FEID, Larry June, and more. The production of this album is unlike anything any other DJ has created before, which is reflected in its over 105 million streams and its top positions in charts worldwide.
