DIAMANTE
‘DIAMANTE’, an album dedicated to GORDO’s family, friends and loved ones, celebrates his journey to freedom, which comes after three transformative years for Blackmon, where he saw himself retire his previous moniker ‘Carnage’ and take over the world with the infectious sound of GORDO. When known as Carnage, Blackmon cemented his legacy as an iconic producer with numerous generational hits. Among his top records are “Bricks” ft. Migos, a major hit in hip-hop and dance, “I Like Tuh” in collaboration with ILoveMakonnen which became a festival staple, and “Learn How to Watch” ft. Mac Miller and MadeinTYO which showcased his versatility. During this time, Blackmon proved himself as not just an extraordinary producer, but a world-class curator capable of identifying prominent talents.
Since the launch of GORDO, he has received a Grammy nomination, topped Billboard’s Hot 100 Producers chart, been crowned #1 Hispanic DJ in the world by DJ Mag, released tracks with the likes of Maluma, El Alfa, Feid, Nicki Nicole, Adriatique, and The Martinez Brothers, and produced for the likes of Bad Bunny, Sexyy Red, Nicki Minaj, and long-time friend Drake, for whom he contributed to six tracks on the house music-infused album ‘Honestly, Nevermind’ and two on the Canadian artist’s latest album ‘For All The Dogs’, including ‘Rich Baby Daddy’.
In a short span of time, GORDO has performed on the world’s biggest stages, from Tomorrowland Belgium to Brooklyn Mirage, Coachella, Muete Beach in Buenos Aires, Pacha Ibiza, and The Loft in Amsterdam. He led the largest South American DJ tour ever and fostered a dedicated community with his raw and authentic ‘TARAKA’ events, touring 25 Latin American cities in 15 different countries.
Known for uniquely blending genres and pushing musical boundaries, GORDO’s ‘DIAMANTE’ promises a fusion of creativity that could redefine contemporary music and set a new standard for electronic dance music. The album’s set to merge mainstream appeal with GORDO’s avant-garde artistry, creating a landmark album in today’s music landscape.
“This album embodies all my different tastes and personalities, from what I listen to, to what I play live, who I am as an artist, but most importantly, who Diamante is. It’s my most personal work to date and comes from a place of love and authenticity. Most of the album’s production was done at home in Hawaii. I would produce until 6 PM, then I’d take a break, sit on my terrace, and watch the sunset while listening to the album and taking it all in. It’s an album you can listen to at home and at a 5 AM rave; it can be the pinnacle of your night or the perfect come-down after a long day. I can’t wait to show you what I’ve been working on.”

The 15-track album, set to release on July 26th, features an impressive lineup of collaborators from across the musical spectrum, promising to unite listeners from all corners of the music world.
About GORDO
Diamante Blackmon has already helped to define a global musical movement. But now he’s doing it again. GORDO is the alias from the artist previously known as Carnage. His quest for this new sound has led to releases such as genre-bending smash ‘Fallin Luv’, ‘TARAKA’, which was named after his own event series, the techno-infused speaker-rattling ‘With You’ with Adriatique, the widely acclaimed ‘RIZZLA’, and house anthem ‘R U 4REAL’.
His releases ‘Hombres y Mujeres’ alongside Colombian superstar Feid, ‘El Mas Chingon’ with Dominican heavyweight El Alfa, and fan favorite ‘Parcera’ with global idol ‘Maluma’, as well as his numerous sold out gigs in Latin America see GORDO’s return to his Hispanic roots. The Grammy-nominated Nicaraguan-American DJ/producer honors his heritage beyond giving back with beats though, as he’s fully committed to helping build schools and education centers in Nicaragua as well as Guatemala, where he was raised, with the latest having opened its doors in 2023 in Guatemala’s Nuevo Eden.
