The Ravers Are Ready for More Than 20 Hours Odyssey in Esmoriz, Portugal From Saturday 6th July at 5pm Until Sunday 7th July at 2PM.
Summer is kicking off and the Sound Waves Festival will once again be coming to Esmoriz, Portugal to celebrate its 17th edition. The timetable has been revealed and features over 20 hours of non stop music with a rave starting on Saturday 6th July from 5pm and closing on Sunday at 2pm. Great artists of international and national stature will join the rhythm of Techno and Hard Techno sounds to fulfill a new chapter in the festival’s 19-year history: I Hate Models, Sara Landry, Shlømo, Deborah de Luca, Azyr, 6EJOU, Dyen, Franck, Joanna Coelho, Miss Sheila, VENDEX, Ornella, Madson Carpenter b2b Stëh and PK b2b LEMØS are the names on the 2024 line up.
The ravers will once again be immersed in a unique experience with the iconic Sound Waves, which kicks off on Saturday 6th July at 5pm with a special performance by portuguese artists PK and LEMØS. Brazilian producers Stëh and Madson Carpenter will then take to the stage at sunset in a b2b. At the beginning of the night at 8pm, Ornella will warm up the engines before the arrival of acclaimed star Miss Sheila, who with her warm and instinctive style, will light up the dancefloor to welcome at 11pm the world powerhouse from Naples Deborah de Luca, who will play with a big bang over the course of two hours.
The early morning kicks off with the most in-demand artist of the moment, Sara Landry, who will bring ravers to ecstasy with her energy from 1am onwards. The acclaimed french DJ and producer Shlømo, recognised by the dance scene as the “Daddy” of hard techno, takes the stage at 3am. Then the prodigious brit, Azyr, will take to the stage, promising to shake the floor of the venue until 6.30am, while brazilian Joanna Coelho will deliver the fiery set we’ve become accustomed to for an hour.
At 07h30 the popular scottish producer Franck will make his big debut in Portugal and at 9am, one of the most awaited moments of the 17th edition of the Sound Waves Festival, the participation of I Hate Models, who will infect the thousands of ravers with his eclectic sounds in a frenetic gig. Following the line up Dyen, the well-known dutchman will raise the bpm’s of all those present in Esmoriz. At midday, the spanish VENDEX will emerge with his apocalyptic visuals to create an atmosphere of dark lines to the rhythm of Industrial Techno. To close the festival on a high note, french DJ 6EJOU will be the perfect architect to bring the Soundwavers to a warm “grand finale”.
The 2024 event has many new features, starting with the venue, which has a larger size than the 2023 event. The star of the venue is the Igloo Tent, which covers the heart of the festival and includes: the stage area (which will make its debut), two VIP areas and the main stage where the DJs play. In 2024, attendees will find new Lounge Area, Food Zone and Fast Bar areas, as well as restrooms, lockers and token distribution in greater numbers. A premium area has also been added where attendees can purchase official festival merchandise and other options.
Sound Waves has been held in Portugal since 2005 and continues to position itself as one of the most visionary festivals in the Techno and Hard Techno scene worldwide. The summer edition of 2024, will be a reference that will remain in the minds of the thousands who are part of the raver community and who come from various parts of the world (about 40 different countries), for an electrifying and unparalleled experience.
