We all surely remember Fyre festival and its founder Billy McFarland.The festival, where everything that could, went wrong and people that bought the tickets were deeply disappointed and most of all angry because of how much money they spent for this. This fiasco of a festival got its own 2 movies and with that, a lot of media coverage and attention.
FYRE Festival II.
Billy McFarland was sentenced for fraud in 2022 and was released after 6 years in prison. He did not give it that much time after being released from the prison, because in the summer of 2023 he announced that FYRE 2 is happening. He even sold out the first 100 tickets for the prize of $499. This time the festival should take place somewhere in the Caribbean Sea on December of 2024.
Billy McFarland has announced on his Instagram, that the final presale of the tickets is online, and let me tell you the prices are out of this world. They move from $3 500 to $1 000 000. Yes, you see it correct, one million dollars for highest access to festival. We know nothing more but they promise: “comprehensive experience that immerses you in the elements of Fire, Earth, Sky, and Sea.” In this Instagram post Billy also explains that the festival is going to be more about experiences rather than line-up of artists.
