Dutch dance music luminary Ferry Corsten surprised Rotterdam Centraal commuters on Thursday afternoon with a pop-up DJ set in the main hall causing an immediate turn of heads and bringing on a spontaneous outburst of daytime raving!
Performing a 1-hour set of exclusively his own music, Ferry shared a teaser of what to expect when he brings his What The F! repertoire show home to Maassilo, Rotterdam on Friday 3rd May 2024.
In an open-close 6-hour set, friends and fans attending Maassilo can journey through the past, present and future sound of Ferry Corsten in a culmination of the Dutchman’s work “rehashed, remixed, reinvented with a futuristic approach.” From pioneering hits of renowned aliases System F and Gouryella, up to Ferry’s latest releases from forthcoming album Connect.
Excitable crowds at Rotterdam Centraal even heard an exclusive preview of Ferry’s new single ‘Where The Mountains Grow’ featuring singer-songwriter Chris Howard, out today on Flashover Recordings. The pair previously teamed up on celebrated 2021 release ‘Bloodstream,’ and unite once again to embark on a deep exploration into melodic house realms on ‘Where The Mountains Grow.’
Two Ferry fans from the UK who had recieved and exlcusive tip-off, flew in just for the pop-up set! Whilst the unexpected location brought together people from all walks of life, from young children, to an amdirable lady of 75 years old who shared in the moment of dancing and put us all to shame with her rave endurance!
Ferry commented: “Shoutout to everyone who joined in the party at Centraal Station and special thanks to the incredible dancers of CODART. It was a lot of fun, and, in all honesty, a heartwarming reminder of the power of music as I watched a diverse dancefloor of people come together, people who perhaps wouldn’t normally come to a club but still got lost in the music. I can’t wait to finally bring my What The F! show home to Rotterdam in May. I can already tell it’s going to be a really special and emotive night.”
What The F! has already toured Europe, Asia, North and South America, and Australia with numerous sold-out shows along the way. Now, for the first time ever, the party makes its Dutch debut in Ferry’s hometown of Rotterdam with Grotesque presents.

Having established himself a pioneer of the scene for over two decades, Ferry’s sound has become synonymous with limitless dance music. Under his name and
aliases Gouryella, Moonman, FERR, and System F, the moniker behind his UK Top 20 classic ‘Out of the Blue,’ Ferry has curated a timeless, genre-spanning discography that has garnered numerous worldwide Top 20 chart hits and an ever-growing fanbase.
In recent times, this testament of innovation has been evermore apparent. AlongsideJoris Voorn, Ferry hosted a world-first livestream from the Schiphol Airport control centre in partnership with Armada Music to kick off the Amsterdam Dance Event 2023. The event swiftly followed the head-turning release of the A State of Trance (ASOT) 2024 anthem titled ‘Destination’, which saw Ferry part of a star-studded collaboration with Armin van Buuren, Rank1 and Ruben De Ronde
Summer 2023 was also when Ferry began dropping teasers from his upcoming seventh studio album. Drawing initial attention with the title track ‘Connect’, followed by ‘Mind Trip’ and ’Yes Man’. Ferry celebrated the latter release by performing at Amsterdam’s Olympic Stadium for the Amsterdam Marathon 2023, whilst ‘Yes Man’ was selected as the official anthem for Dreamfields Mexico 2023. With the full release of the Connect album scheduled for later in 2024, fans can look forward to several early album singles in the build-up to this pivotal long-player release. Excitingly, the album itself is one of Ferry’s most diverse bodies of work yet, exploring the depths of raw, energised rave.
Supporting the album is a world tour that will bring the magic of the Connect album to life in a multi-sensory escapade. Also, Ferry’s 2024 tour schedule features his ever-popular What The F open-close repertoire shows is exclusively soundtracked by Ferry’s own productions “rehashed, remixed, reinvented with a futuristic approach.” Fans can also expect the evergreen presence of Ferry at the world’s best festivals and clubs and the much-anticipated arrival of his ambient project FERR by Ferry Corsten to the international touring calendar.
